Manual QA Tester (f/m/d)

Together, we improve the quality of our releases. You test new features and existing core flows through careful, structured manual testing in the web client, in our iOS/Android white label apps, and via the web backends. Release candidates are thus thoroughly evaluated before we deliver. You will check acceptance criteria, perform smoke and regression tests, identify deviations early on, and record them in a clear and comprehensible manner.

Your tasks:

  • Testing our web and mobile apps (iOS & Android) using various test types: from quick smoke tests to structured feature and regression tests to exploratory testing on different devices and browsers.
  • Review our white label variants in terms of branding, texts, translations, and feature scope—ensuring that each app variant meets customer-specific requirements.
  • Analyze the interaction between client and backend using tools such as Charles or Proxyman—observing request-response behavior, checking headers, status codes, and response timings to narrow down errors cleanly.
  • Transparent documentation of errors in our ticket system – with clear reproduction steps, actual/target status, screenshots, videos, or logs.
  • Close collaboration with colleagues from QA Automation, Product Management, and Development—you will play an active role in ensuring the quality of our releases.

The job is perfect for you, if you bring the following:

  • Initial professional experience in manual testing of web and mobile apps, including release processes and end-to-end testing.
  • Technical affinity and basic understanding of reading logs and tracing HTTP-based API calls.
  • Ability to work in a team, willingness to develop, sense of responsibility and reliability.
  • You value quality and accuracy, which is reflected in the way you work.
  • You like to take the initiative and drive issues that are important to you.
  • You are open to different opinions and enjoy working as part of a team.

Ideally, you also have:

  • Basic knowledge of monitoring and crash analytics (Sentry/Firebase).
  • Experience with Xcode/Android Studio/DevTools/Proxyman, especially inspecting logs and network traffic to narrow down problems.
  • Accessibility awareness (WCAG Basics) and privacy sensitivity.
  • Residence in Vienna or nearby
