SITE RELIABILITY ENGINEER (SRE) (f/m/d)

Your tasks:

  • Design, implementation and maintenance of tools, processes and infrastructure to improve the reliability and efficiency of development and production systems
  • Development/configuration of automated frameworks and scripts to support repeatable processes such as deployment, testing, monitoring and scaling of software environments
  • Optimization and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless integration and deployment from code to production systems
  • Development and improvement of monitoring systems to continuously monitor the performance of applications and systems
  • Data analysis, bottleneck and root cause identification and implementation of solutions to improve the reliability and efficiency of our systems
  • Close cooperation with developers and quality assurance teams
  • Active co-design of the architecture of a complex software solution and its operation
  • Become a valued member of a team of dedicated technicians in a company with a friendly and supportive working atmosphere

The job is perfect for you, if you bring the following:

  • Solid IT knowledge (HTL, FH, University)
  • Several years of professional experience in SRE, Platform Engineering, DevOps, System Operation, Software Engineering, or similar
  • Good written and spoken German and English (B2)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab, …)
  • Experience with build and deployment tools (e.g. Jenkins, Gradle, Fastlane, …)
  • Experience in the architecture, maintenance and operation of container and cloud technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Azure …)
  • Experience in maintaining, deploying and monitoring web services and database systems
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Shell, Python, Ruby, …)
  • Interest in current trends and long-term, continuous development of sustainable products
  • Strong team collaboration skills, willingness to develop, sense of responsibility and ownership
  • Eye for detail, proactivity, team spirit

Ideally, you also have:

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Experience with the operation of Java services
  • Willingness for occasional on-call duty for level 2 support (extra compensation)
  • Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and configuration management tools (e.g., Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK-Stack, Ansible)
  • Experience with Azure or other cloud providers
  • Residence in Vienna or nearby

The minimum salary for this position is EUR 3,455 gross per month for 38.5 hours. The actual salary will depend on qualifications and experience.
