Trikala

Trikala is currently introducing the smartphone app to promote ‘Mobility as a Service’ systems and services. These aim to reduce congestion and the dominance of private cars in the city’s modal split. Through two pilot demonstrations, MaaS is being implemented through the “SHOW” project, which focuses on both automated passenger and freight transportation as well as automation in MaaS. The “SMARTA2” project seeks to introduce the concept of carpooling to residents of rural areas along with the use of alternative mobility solutions to reach the city center or travel within it.
