The Fluidtime MaaS Symposium is a key event in the field of Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS), which brings together stakeholders and experts from all over the world every year. The 6th edition took place from September 16 – 17, 2021 in Vienna and focused on the importance of ecosystems under the motto “The ecosystem play”.
For two days, we looked at ecosystems at different levels, from neighborhoods to cities and regions. We looked at the actors in these systems and explored how they work together towards MaaS. The 6th Fluidtime MaaS Symposium focused on the following three aspects:
How do you establish and maintain collaborative relationships between actors? How can these act as a basis for a MaaS system?
How do different stakeholders build a common understanding of customers? Who owns the user? Who owns the data?
How are alliances formed for joint mobility solutions? How can self-interest and the common good be combined? Who owns the success?

The current transport system is heavily influenced by individual motorized transport on the road. The climate crisis requires this system to be restructured according to the premise of less traffic, more mobility. As in an ecosystem, this requires a variety of complementary, attractive and climate-friendly solutions. These solutions combine active mobility with public transport and on-demand services and cover a wide range of mobility requirements in line with needs.
